Description	:	FLORENCE ANNA YAGER, 83, of Ossian, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at her home. Born Sept. 6, 1928, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Peterson) Wehmey er. She worked as a lab-tech at Amoco Oil and as a secretarial assistant at Northern Wells Community Schools, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi sorority, WSCS, Knitters Club, and Ossian United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and with the Girl Scouts, oil painting, singing in the church choir, teaching children how to swim,... Read More	FLORENCE ANNA YAGER, 83, of Ossian, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at her home. Born Sept. 6, 1928, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Peterson) Wehmey er. She worked as a lab-tech at Amoco Oil and as a secretarial assistant at Northern Wells Community Schools, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi sorority, WSCS, Knitters Club, and Ossian United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and with the Girl Scouts, oil painting, singing in the church choir, teaching children how to swim, cooking for her family, quilting with the ladies at the church, and she was proud that she won 'Women of the Year' at the church. Surviving family include her loving husband of 63 years, Lloyd Yager of Ossian (whom she married on Feb. 5, 1949); children, Kathleen (Harold) Clark of Ossian, Steve (Jan) Yager of Fort Wayne and Kim (Julie) Yager of Crawfordsville, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Shomo; and brothers, Charles and Paul Wehmeyer. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Ossian United Methodist Church, 201 West Mill St., Ossian, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
