Airy, Md. Born August 11, 1919 in Poolesville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin White Jr. and Sarah Carter Graves White. She was employed by the Montgomery county Public Schools as a teachers aid and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Peters Episcopal Parish in Poolesville, and the Monocacy Garden Club in Montgomery Co. She was also an avid bridge player. She is survived by one son, Mason W. Gray IV and wife Hannah of Myersville, Md.; two daughters, Jane G. Peters and husband Jim of Finksburg, Md., and Elizabeth Dean Wroth and husband Ted of Poolesville, Md.; one sister, Sarah Carter Boland of Gaithersburg, Md., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mason W. Gray III in 1950 and her second husband, Carlton G. Van Emon in 1968; and one sister, Jane W. Blair. There will be no viewing. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Peters Episcopal Parish in Poolesville, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Peters Episcopal Parish at 20100 Fisher Ave., Poolesville, MD 20837 or the Kline Hospice House at 7000 Kimmel Rd., Mt. Airy, MD 21771. Arrangements were made by the J.L. Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg, MD.
