HARRY LYON: On Tuesday night, Jan. 1, 1929, after a brief illness, Florence Louise Ferrier, beloved wife of Harry Lyon, of Corbetton, at the age of forty-nine years, passed beyond her eternal home. Her death came as a great shock to the community, of which she was a valued member and to which her death will be a distinct loss. Of a quiet and kindly disposition she made many friends who will long remember her. She leaves to mourne her loss, her sorrowing husband, her children - Legretta, Florence, and Ross, all at home; her aged mother; her sisters - Mrs. Thos. Bolen, Corbetton; Mrs. James Conn, Jessopville; Mrs. Chas. Valentine, Mrs. George Valentine, The remains were laid to rest in Shelburne Cemetery. The pallbearers were James, Norman and Ernest Ferrier; Jack and Frank Lyon, and Wm. Bruce. The floral tributes were: Pillow, from the family; basket of flowers from the brothers and sisters; basket of flowers from the Ladies' Aid; spray, from the Cruikshank family, Owen Sound; spray, the Carr family, Toronto; spray, Jack Lyon and family, Shelburne; spray, the Henderson family, Corbetton. The blow was great, the shock severe, We little though her end so near, "Tis only those who have lost can tell The sorrow of parting without farewell.
