Private family committal will be at the Westfield Township Cemetery at Westfield, Iowa. Florence M. Husmann was born February 23, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Dollie (Herman) Whiting. She married Alfred Husmann on May 25, 1947 in Merrill, Iowa. They moved many times before settling on an acreage near Westfield where they lived for 30 years. They moved to Hawarden for 6 years before moving to the Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen. Private family committal will be at the Westfield Township Cemetery at Westfield, Iowa. Florence M. Husmann was born February 23, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Dollie (Herman) Whiting. She married Alfred Husmann on May 25, 1947 in Merrill, Iowa. They moved many times before settling on an acreage near Westfield where they lived for 30 years. They moved to Hawarden for 6 years before moving to the Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen. Through the years Florence was employed first at Aalfs Manufacturing in LeMars and later at K-Products in Orange City. Alfred died July 31, 2007. Florence moved to the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden in October of 2008. She is survived by her son, David Husmann and wife Linda of Akron; two daughters, Karen Bowman and husband Gary of Akron and June Heggadahl and husband Mark of Apple Valley, Minnesota; a sister, Violet Madden of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Lorna Whiting of Akron; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Harold Whiting, Jr.
