Description	:	MRS JOHN WALTERS DIES AT AGE OF 96 IN ADAMS Mrs. John Walters, 96, passed away Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katie Mahler in Adams. She was born September 1, 1877, at Golden Ill., and at the age of seven moved with her family to the Sterling area. She lived on a farm southeast of Adams for 30 years before moving into Adams in 1929, She was a member of the Adams American Lutheran Church. Read More	MRS JOHN WALTERS DIES AT AGE OF 96 IN ADAMS Mrs. John Walters, 96, passed away Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katie Mahler in Adams. She was born September 1, 1877, at Golden Ill., and at the age of seven moved with her family to the Sterling area. She lived on a farm southeast of Adams for 30 years before moving into Adams in 1929, She was a member of the Adams American Lutheran Church. Survivors include her three daughters, Mrs. John (Jennie) Tholen, of Pickrell, Mrs. Katie Mahler of Adams and Mrs. Mattie Tholen of Beatrice; one brother Gerhard Aden of Omaha; one sister, Mrs. Lena Lindolph of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was proceded in death by her husband, John in 1969 and one son, three brothers, five sisters and one grandson. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2: P.M. at the Adams American Lutheran Church with the pastor, Rev. Fred Wolff officiating. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Sterling. Griffith-Hovendick were in charge of arrangements.
