She departed this life April 6, 1982 at the Johnson Co. Hospital, having attained the age of 77 years, 10 months and 7 days, As an infant she was brought to the Lord by Holy Baptism on July 3, 1904, being baptized by Rev. Firnhaber at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was confirmed March 24, 1918 by Rev. E. Deffner at Immanuel, of which she was... Read More	Katie is the daughter of John G. & Flora Walters. ∼Katie M. Mahler, nee Walters, daughter of John and Flora Walters, was born near Adams. She departed this life April 6, 1982 at the Johnson Co. Hospital, having attained the age of 77 years, 10 months and 7 days, As an infant she was brought to the Lord by Holy Baptism on July 3, 1904, being baptized by Rev. Firnhaber at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was confirmed March 24, 1918 by Rev. E. Deffner at Immanuel, of which she was a life time member. She was a past member of the ladies Aid. She was united in marriage to Eddie F. Mahler on December 30, 1925 with Rev. E. Deffner performing the ceremony. To this union was born a son and two daughters. They lived on a farm near Adams until 1952 when they moved to Adams. She is survived by her son, Clifford of Adams; daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Elaine) Harms of Adams, Mrs. Dorothy Dorn of Beatrice; one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Jennie Tholen of Pickrel. her parents, husband, one grandson and one sister preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on April 9, 1982 with Rev. Karl Weinrich officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
