Description	:	Services for Flossie Baker, 90, will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Burial will be at the Norwood Cemetery. Flossie Marie was born December 6, 1921 in Pukerbrush, Iowa, the youngest daughter of Nathan and Mary (Edwards) Penick. She attended country school through the eighth grade at Pukerbrush and graduated from Norwood High School in 1939. She was married to Kenneth Baker on December 24, 1944, they were blessed with three children: Becky, Mike, and Mary. She was a homemaker and worked a few years at Lucas Products. Flossie was an excellent cook; her homemade noodles were great and will be remembered by her family. She loved to quilt and sew; making dozens of dresses for her granddaughters. She liked her garden, canning, fishing, and going shopping. Flossie loved her family and absolutely loved to hold the grandbabies. She also enjoyed cats and would take in many strays in the neighborhood. Flossie passed away April 7, 2012 at the Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 90. Flossie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Baker; children: Becky (Ron) Goodrich, Mike Baker, and Mary (Todd) Enterline; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and her two younger brothers: John Penick and Jim (Jean) Penick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Lelia Triggs, Mildred Clark, Thelma Haltom, Vera Daugherty, Owen Penick, Glenn Penick, and Robert Penick; great granddaughter Riley Keller; and great great grandson Bryten Becker.
