Mr. Johnson was a veteran of World War 2 and had worked as a state hospital employee. He was married to Emma Govig. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1963. Mrs. Harold (Helen) Heller of Lincoln, Nebraska; Betty Marsh of Villisca, Ray Thomas and his wife Evelyn of Corning, Eldon Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. James (Shirley) Sperry of Des Moines, Gary Thomas and his wife Judy of Phoenix, Arizona, 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Fred (Mable) Shepherd of Prescott. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday, July 8, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. at Wolfe Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Hutchings officiating. Organist was Terry Davis with Robert White as soloist. Pall bearers were Larry Heller, Rich Mills, John Marsh, Gary Thompson, George Marsh, and Steve Marsh. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery.
