Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa. Floyd Clyde Aegerter was born May 2, 1908, in Tripoli, the son of Ernest and Mary (Drewis) Aegerter. The family later moved to Cedar County, where he attended the rural schools. He married Gladys Louise Schroeder in December 1940. Together they farmed in both the Tipton and West Branch areas, until he retired. Gladys preceded him in death on April 28, 1958. He married Lois Ruth Barkema on June 17, 1973, in Rock Island, Illinois. Following his retirement he was employed with Farmers Feed and Grain Supply in West Branch for 10 years. He was a member of the Tipton Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Lois; two daughters, Marguerite (John) Dorton of Muscatine and Carol (Harold) Dawson of Mechanicsville; one son, Larry Aegerter of Phoenix, AZ; one step-daughter, Denise Emmons of Worthington, MN; six grandchildren; four sisters, Helen (Frank) Helminick of St. Paul, MN, Adelia Stringer of Milwaukee, WI, Mabel Kohlmeyer of Sumner and Florence Hamre of Davenport; and one brother, Hadwin Aegerter of St. Paul, MN.
