Description	:	Gladys L. Aegerter, 36, of rural West Branch, was killed Monday night, April 28, in a car accident on a county road five miles southwest of Tipton. The automobile, driven by her husband Floyd Aegerter, went out of control on the gravel road and plunged into a pile of gravel. Mrs. Aegerter died shortly after the arrival of Dr. Kruse of Tipton to the scene of the accident. The couple's son, Lawrence Aegerter, was a passenger in the auto and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Iowa City for treatment of fractured bones. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, at Sheets & Sons Funeral Home in Tipton. A memorial fund for her children has been established in her memory. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 1, at Sheets & Sons Funeral Home in Tipton. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa. Gladys Louise Schroeder was born December 8, 1922, in Tipton, the daughter of Anton and Minnie (Schneider) Schroeder. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1940. She married Floyd Clyde Aegerter on December 21, 1940, in Tipton. Together they farmed in Cedar County near West Branch. Surviving are her husband, Floyd; two daughters, Marquerite and Carol Aegerter, both at home; one son, Lawrence Aegerter, at home; her parents, Anton and Minnie Schroeder of Tipton; one brother, Kenneth (Lillian) Schroeder of Tipton; her maternal grandmother, Wilhelmine Schneider of Tipton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jurgen Schneider and her paternal grandparents, Wilhelm and Elise Schroeder. Tipton Advertiser, May 1, 1958
