He was born Sept. 14, 1913 in Celina ( Mercer Co,),the son of Cary Franklin and Nora Katherine Chambers Shepherd. He married Margaret Goldsmith, who died in 1985. SHEPHERD HARROD- Floyd H.( Shep) Shephed, 74 of here , died at 3:15 a. m today at Shawnee Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 14, 1913 in Celina ( Mercer Co,),the son of Cary Franklin and Nora Katherine Chambers Shepherd. He married Margaret Goldsmith, who died in 1985. He then married Elizabeth Thompson Glick, who died Monday. Mr. Shepherd was a retired co-owner of Five Acre Auto Wrecking Co, Lima. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and Eagles Lodge 370, where he was a 45 year member. Survivors include a stepson, Norman Glick of Wapakoneta; three daughters, Mrs. Howard ( Barbara) Tackett of Lakeview, Mrs. John( Norita) Moss of Ft. Myers, Fl, and Mrs. Roger ( Rebecca) Thompson of Harrod; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters; Mrs Leroy ( Virginia) Gesler and Betty Farlar of Lima. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. at Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Homes. Pastor Jerry M. Hall officating. Burial will be in Salem ! Cemetery , Westminster. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the funeral home. Memorial contributions maybe made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association The Lima News Allen County, Oh Jan. 1983 MR. AND MRS. FLOYD SHEPHERD , 3086 Johnston Road, Rt. 2 will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary next Sunday from 2 to 5 p. m. at their home. They ask that gifts be omitted. Shepherd and the former Margaret Goldsmithwere married Jan. 11, 1933 in Portland, Ind. . by Rev. G. Naul They are the parents of Mrs. Howard ( Barbara) Tackett 595 West Kildar; Mrs. John (Norita ) Moss, Ft. Myers, Fla.;and Mrs. Roger ( Rebecca) Thompson 3080Johnston Road. Shepherd is retired from Five Acre Auto Wrecking Co.
