Description	:	HAYNER JR., Floyd F. 83 of Springfield passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in South Charleston, OH on Aug. 21, 1926 the son of the late Floyd F. and Olive Mae (Jenkins) Hayner Sr. Floyd retired from Springfield Public Works Department after thirty years of service as an inspector. Following retirement he worked for W. A. Stevens for many years. Floyd loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was born in South Charleston, OH on Aug. 21, 1926 the son of the late Floyd F. and Olive Mae (Jenkins) Hayner Sr. Floyd retired from Springfield Public Works Department after thirty years of service as an inspector. Following retirement he worked for W. A. Stevens for many years. Floyd loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His other hobbies included tending to his garden and playing cards with his friends. Floyd loved hosting his annual "pig roast" with his best friend, the late Kenny Kirby. He also was an avid Cincinnati Red fan, who never missed a game. Survivors include his wife Linda G. (Ramey) Hayner, two children, Sharon (Ron) Woolf, Springfield, OH, Keith Hayner, St. Petersburg, FL; two step children, Jack Sodders and Tammy Shaw both of Springfield; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and two great step grandchildren all of Springfield; four brothers, Donald (Mary) Hayner, Leroy (Hazel) Hayner, Bill (Jane) Hayner all of Springfield, Robert (Suzanne) Hayner, Mena, AR; two sisters, Mary (Grover) Brown and Anne Stacy both of Fairborn, OH and several nieces and nephews. He also left behind his companions, his cats Luck, Sissy an Blackie. His parents and a brother Clarence Hayner preceded him in death. His family would like to extend a special thank you to the Springfield Regional Cancer Center and Hospice for the loving care they provided. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor David Miller officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.
