Skinner, 51, passed away Sunday at St. Mary’s hospital in Pierre, where he had been under treatment for several weeks. Death followed an illness of more than a year’s duration. Skinner, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Skinner, was born December 3, 1894, at Manchester, Ia. When 12 years old his parents came to St. Lawrence to make their home on a farm south of St. Lawrence. He has lived in this community since that time. He was married to Minnie Aalbers on January 12, 1928. To this union were born three children, Marvin, 14 years old, and twins, Billy and Betty, 2 ½ years old. Due to failing health he moved to St. Lawrence with his family only five weeks ago. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Skiner, three brothers and three sisters, Glenn Harold; Ray, Mrs. Opal Freemakr, Mrs. Etha Selke, all of this vicinity and Marie Updegraff of Denver, Colo., and a host of friends.
