Description	:	1912 - 2002 DELTA - Floyd Landers, 90, of rural Delta, died Monday, Oct. 21, at Maplewood Manor in Keota. His funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at What Cheer Baptist Church. Burial: Garrett Cemetery near Delta. Visiting hours begin 2p.m. Wednesday at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, with family present 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to What Cheer Baptist Church. Floyd Landers was born Jan. 28, 1912, in Sigourney to Roy and Della Danner Landers. He attended various town and country schools in and around What Cheer. He was a hired hand for his brother Albert and for his brother-in-law Homer Rohloff before farming on his own. He married Eva De Young May 25, 1936, at the Oskaloosa Baptist Church. They lived near Barnes City for the first few years, then moved to rural Delta and lived 57 years on the same farm. He also worked in Iowa City for a short time. Eva died July 30, 1997. He was a member of the What Cheer Baptist Church and was a deacon and trustee. He is survived by three children and spouses: Harry and Martha Landers of What Cheer, Karen and Ed Molyneux of rural Delta, and the Rev. David and Patricia Landers of Clearwater, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva; two brothers: Ralph and Albert; a sister, Opal Rohloff; and a daughter-in-law, Verna Landers.
