Description	:	Obituary - FLOYD ROW CARMICHAEL Floyd Row Carmichael, son of Archie Lemuel and Aneida Johanna (Gerwick) Carmichael, was born on May 20, 1912 on a farm near Diller, NE. Read More	Obituary - FLOYD ROW CARMICHAEL Floyd Row Carmichael, son of Archie Lemuel and Aneida Johanna (Gerwick) Carmichael, was born on May 20, 1912 on a farm near Diller, NE. He was one of six children. In 1924, his parents moved to a farm near Barada, NE. He received his education at the Barada School. On February 3,1934, he was united in marriage to C. Lillian Huey at Papillion, NE. To their union four children were born. They made their home in Shubert, NE for eight years. In 1942, they moved to Nemaha, NE before returning to Shubert in 1967. There they owned and operated a local restaurant. in 1976, Floyd retired from the restaurant as well as the trucking business he operated for forty-one years. In 1948,Floyd was baptized and confirmed into the Methodist Faith at the Nemaha Methodist Church by Rev. McCullough. He remained an active member to present day. Floyd was a member of the Victory Odd Fellows Lodge #195 for thirty-one years, The Old Settlers Picnic Association and Nemaha Volunteer Fire Department for Thirty years. Having suffered a heart attack at his home in Nemaha, NE on January 5, 2000, Floyd was taken to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn, NE. It was there that he passed away on the same day. He had reached the age of 87 years, seven months and fifteen days. He was preceded in death by his two parents, two daughters, three brothers, two granddaughters and a great-great-grandson. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Lillian Carmichael of Nemaha, NE, son Gordon Carmichael and his wife Franscilla of Miles, TX, daughter, Ruth Welstead and her husband James of Plattsmouth, NE,four granchldren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, sister, Fay McCoy of San Bernadino, CA, Opal frye and her husband Donald of Falls City, NE, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
