Description	:	FORREST "FROSTY" ZIMMERMAN NEW SHARON -- Forrest "Frosty" Zimmerman, 75, of New Sharon, died Monday, Oct. 7, 1991 at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa. He was born Sept. 3, 1916 near North Browntown in Poweshiek County to Charles and Nellie Saunders Zimmerman. He married Florence Maley on May 24, 1939 in Lancaster, Mo. In 1934 he graduated from New Sharon High School and then farmed in the New Sharon area. Read More	FORREST "FROSTY" ZIMMERMAN NEW SHARON -- Forrest "Frosty" Zimmerman, 75, of New Sharon, died Monday, Oct. 7, 1991 at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa. He was born Sept. 3, 1916 near North Browntown in Poweshiek County to Charles and Nellie Saunders Zimmerman. He married Florence Maley on May 24, 1939 in Lancaster, Mo. In 1934 he graduated from New Sharon High School and then farmed in the New Sharon area. He worked for over 20 years for the Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service (ASCS) as a program specialist for the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture. He was a member of the New Sharon United Methodist Church. He was also a Union Township trustee and former member of the New Sharon Oddfellows Lodge. He is survived by his wife, of New Sharon; a son, Les Zimmerman of New Sharon; two daughters, Corrine Hinkle of Dike and Francine Andrews of New Sharon; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon, with the Rev. Fred Harris officiating. Burial will be at the Union Mills Cemetery near New Sharon. The family will be at the funeral home this evening 7-8 p.m. to greet relatives and friends.
