She was born June 10, 1916, at Utica to Perry J. and Loretha Stevens Pratt. She married Dale T. Clark December 26, 1940, in Keosauqua. He died February, 17, 1998. Read More	Betty Clark Frances Elizabeth Mae "Betty" Clark, 92, of West Burlington, formerly of Stockport, Departed this life at 8:07 a.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Klein Care Center, Burlington, Iowa. She was born June 10, 1916, at Utica to Perry J. and Loretha Stevens Pratt. She married Dale T. Clark December 26, 1940, in Keosauqua. He died February, 17, 1998. Betty graduated as valedictorian of class of 1934 from Stockport High school and Iowa Success Business College, Ottumwa. She was a farm homemaker and office manager at J&B Plastics, Fairfield. She lived her life in Stockport area until moving to West Burlington in 1999. Betty enjoyed reading, traveling, and attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting and music events. She was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church, Elvin E. Cecil Unit No. 147 American Legion Auxiliary, Stockport, had been active in the Stockport Parent Teacher Association, Athletic Boosters. She was instrumental in establishing the Stockport Senior Meal site for which she was awarded a Governor's State of Iowa Volunteer Award by Gov. Terry Branstad. Surviving are two sons, Jim (Marcia) Clark of Hot Springs Village, AR, Joe (Barbara) Clark of Schertz, TX; two daughters: Jean Clark and Joan (Bud) Carruthers of West Burlington; seven grandchildren: Daylene, David, and Christie Clark, Kayce (Kevin) Monagle, Jon (Katie) Carruthers, Ben (Kristina) Carruthers, Nick Carruthers; and 5 great-grandchildren; and one brother: Donald Pratt of Fort Madison. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Perry J. Pratt, Jr. and sister Gertrude Lydolph. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 12, 2009 at Stockport United Methodist Church with Pastor John Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery, rural Stockport, Iowa. Visitation will open at 3:00 PM Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with the family present 6-7:30 P.M. Memorials to Stockport Senior Meal Site or Spencer Cemetery may be left at the funeral home, church or mailed to the family at 518 Melville Avenue, West Burlington, IA, 52655.
