Description	:	ST. ALBANS and TROY - Frances E. Hathaway, 85, died Dec. 29, 2001, at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Troy, the daughter of Herbert and Lizzie (Penny) Walker. She lived in Troy for many years, where she cooked at the school, and helped her husband on their farm. While in Troy, she was a member of the Fireman's Auxiliary and the Farm Bureau. Hathaway. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Natalie Fuller and Gertrude Ward; and two brothers, Mervin and Frank Walker. She is survived by a son and his wife, Clifton and Maxine Hathaway of Dexter; a daughter and her husband, Edna and Ralph Flagg of Dixmont; a brother, Ronald Walker of Hartland; a sister and her husband, Mary and Preston Sergeant of Palmyra; 10 grandchildren, 19-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Rogers Cemetery in Troy. (Published in the Waterville Morning Sentinel)
