Description	:	Frances (Kilber) Krieger, 91, Stanton, died March 26, 2014, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Services will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Tuesday, April 1, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Hazen, with the Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Frances was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Hazen, to John and Lutwina (Emmel) Geiger. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Frances was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Hazen, to John and Lutwina (Emmel) Geiger. When she was young, she lived in Beulah, until her parents passed away when she was 10 and 12 years old. After her parents passing, she lived with different relatives in various places, graduating from Kenmare High School. Frances married Ed Kilber on Dec. 27, 1939, in Beulah. The couple added seven children to their family and resided in Stanton. Ed passed away in 1980 and several years later, she married Forrest Krieger at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Hazen. Forrest passed away in 1997. Frances loved life. She was an excellent baker, enjoyed playing pinochle and Skip-Bo and also liked camping. She also liked to take care of her yard and her flowers. Frances was known to be very independent, but also very appreciative. She was always worried about everybody else and put everyone first. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Carolynne (Jim) Blann, LaVista, Neb., Leonard “Butch” Kilber, Virginia Beach, Va., Doug (Trudy) Kilber, Bismarck, John (Eldora) Kilber, Bismarck, Kathy (Larry) Klindworth, Stanton, and Kevin (Heather) Kilber, Santee, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie Hopper, Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed and her husband, Forrest; one daughter, Donna; one daughter-in-law, Linda; two grandsons; two sisters; and two brothers.
