Frances was born on January 9, 1919 in Geddes South Dakota. She was one of a family of six children born to William and Nora. She was raised on the family farm in Geddes and received her education there. She attended St. Anns' School And graduated from Geddes High School and was a graduate from the Class of 1936. In 1939 she moved to Vancouver, WA. She was united in marriage to Joseph Sork on November 7, 1939 in St. James Church in Vancouver, WA. Following their marriage they made their home in Vancouver until 1946 when they moved to Roseburg, OR. In 1976 upon Joseph's retirement they moved back to Vancouver, WA. Joseph died in 1994 but Frances continued to live in Vancouver until 1995 when she moved to Beaverton, OR. Frances moved to Hillsboro in 2006 due to her declining health and wanting to be closer to her family. Frances was first and foremost a mother to her two children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family and family gatherings. She gardened, loved to paint and enjoyed comfort foods. She was an animal lover who had and loved Boston Terriers. She is precede in death by her husband, parents, three siblings and a daughter; Carol Sork. Survivors include her two children and a daughter-in-law; George and Janice Sork of Helvetia, OR, Jean Sork of Portland, OR, two siblings and sister-in-law; George and Julia of Ridgefield, WA, Elizabeth of Vancouver, WA, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
