Mr McCann was a native of Iowa, being born near Paris, Iowa, August 20, 1851. His life was spent in the locality and near Waubeek, Iowa, until two years ago when he came to Hartland, Minnesota to make his home with his son. For twenty-three years before coming to Hartland he was engaged as a building contractor. He lived to be 71 years, 9 months and 29 days of age. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McCann; one daughter, Mrs M T Bates of Freeborn; three sons, Arch McCann of Hartland, Earl McCann of Freeborn and Bert McCann of Waubeek, Iowa.
