Kline and Martha Ann Spaur OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, June 30, 1932 FRANCIS ELMER KLINE Francis Elmer Kline, son of Peter and Martha Kline, was born Dec. 16, 1974, near Bussey, Marion county, Iowa and remained in the county of his birth until manhood. On Dec. 25, 1900, he was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Shimp and to this union seven children were born. One son, Lyle, preceded his father in death in 1918, at the age of three years. Mr. Kline was ill for several months but all that loving hands could do was of no avail and he passed away at his home east of Russell on June 21, 1932, at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 5 days. Those left to received the heritage of a faithful husband and father are his wife and six children, Mrs. Grace Clark and Laurel Kline of Promise City; Mrs. May Cherry, Mrs. Mary Gertz and Mrs. Wilma Hamm of Davenport; and Leo, at home. Besides his immediate family he leaves two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Tillie Smith of Russell; Mrs. Lottie Foutch of Council Bluffs; and Earl Kline of Omaha, Nebr. Also ten grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Kline converted many years ago and united with the Christian church in Russell. He bore his cross with patience and often expressed his wish to meet his Saviour. Funeral services were held at the Bethel church, conducted by Rev. A. E. Beals with Rev. Suckow assisting.
