In 1864 he moved to Peoria county, Ill., and in 1871, came to Marion county, Iowa. In 1872 he was married to Martha Ann Spaur. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. Son of George Kline and Eliza Fetterman OBITUARY THE CHARITON LEADER Chariton, Iowa Thursday, January 20, 1916 PETER KLINE Peter Kline was born in Columbia county, Pennsylvania, October 19th, 1843, and departed this life January 12th, 1916, at his home in Cedar township. In 1864 he moved to Peoria county, Ill., and in 1871, came to Marion county, Iowa. In 1872 he was married to Martha Ann Spaur. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, two sons, Francis of Russell and Earl of Indianola, and two daughters, Mrs. Tillie Smith of Russell and Mrs. Lottie Foutch of Chariton. In 1885 he united with the Baptist church in Nebraska, where he resided for seven years, then returned to Lucas county, where he resided until death. He was a kind, affectionate husband and father, a man who sought to do right by his fellow man. The relatives wish to thank the friends for their kindness in assisting with the burial of their husband and father. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Bethel church, conducted by Rev. George J. Cornford, followed by interment in the Bethel cemetery. Obituary courtesy of Charles M. Wright
