Hildebrandt were married June 19 in St. Gregory's Catholic Church. The Rev. George Bertels officiated at the 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Smith, Marysville, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hildebrandt. Church decorations Included baskets of pink and blue daisies. Organist was Mrs. Clara Miller, and vocalists were Betty Graves, sister of the bridegroom, and Brad Graves, nephew of the bridegroom. Mass servers were Brian Throm and Matthew Borgerding. Lorienne Smith and Kevin Klozenbutcher brought up the offertory gifts. Music selections included "Traditional Bridal March," "Evergreen," "You Needed Me," "You Light Up My Life," "The Wedding Song," "We've Only Just Begun" and "On This Day, O Beautiful Mother." Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin floor-length gown with the train trimmed in lace. The gown featured a portrait neckline, and lace appliques and tiny pearls were on the bishop sleeves and skirt. She wore a diamond necklace and earrings, gifts from the bridegroom. Her veil was trimmed with lace edging accented with matching appliques and pearls. She carried a silk bouquet of pink roses and white carnations. Maid of honor was Janet Smith, Marysville, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Connie Stallbaumer, Frankfort, and Joyce Koch, Beattie, sisters of the bride. They wore floor-length gowns of pink floral crepe, featuring a deep V-neckline of sheer organza. A lace ruffle accented the deep neckline. The standpup collar was made of ribbon and lace. They had full bishop sleeves- and matching tie belts. Each carried a bouquet of pink roses and daisies and wore pink daisies in their hair. Sara Stallbaumer, Frankfort, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She was dressed similar to the attendants. She carried a basket of pink daisies. Ring bearer was Scott Stallbaumer, Frankfort, nephew of the bride. Vernon Hildebrandt, Gothen-berg, Neb., brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and groomsmen were Edward Smith,-Topeka, and Richard F. Smith, Marysville, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Fred Smith, Marysville, and James Smith, Newton, brothers of the bride, and Norman Hildebrandt, Topeka. The mothers of the couple wore aqua blue long dresses with silk floral pink rose corsages. A reception was attended by 200 guests in the Knights of Columbus Hall. Decorations for the serving table were pink net cover over a pink tablecloth silver service, decorated candleholders with pink candles and a five-tiered wedding cake baked by Barbara Smith, Marysville, aunt of the bride. Mrs. Vic Allerheiligen, great aunt of the bride, cut the cake. Mrs. John Smith, aunt of the bride, poured coffee, and Mrs. Kim Schuessler, niece of the bridegroom, poured punch. In charge of the guest book was Miss Linda Borgerding. In charge of the gift table were Mrs. Fred Smith, Mrs. Edward Smith, Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. Norman Hildebrandt. Michelle and Chris Koch handed out rice bags. The bride is a 1969 graduate of MHS and is employed at Community Memorial Hospital. The bridegroom is a 1969 graduate of Linn High School and is employed at Greenleaf Co-op. After a wedding trip to the Ozarks, they are at home in Greenleaf. _________________________________________________ OBITUARY Mary Catherine Hildebrandt, 57, Marysville, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007. A service was Monday, Sept. 10, at St. Gregory's Church, Marysville. Pallbearers were Scott Stallbaumer, Kevin Smith, Jerry Koch, Matt Smith, Donnie Christener, Mike Christener, Andrew Smith and Ryan Smith. Servers were Joshua Smith and Brent Smith. The Rev. Gary Penning officiated. Lector was Christina Koch and offertory was by Melissa Christener and Claire Smith. The church choir sang "Wind Beneath My Wings," "Here I Am Lord," "On Eagles wings" and "How Great Thou Art." A rosary was said Sunday, Sept. 9, at St. Gregory's Church. Burial was in St. Gregory's cemetery. Mary Hildebrandt was born Dec. 27, 1949, at Marysville. She was the daughter of Francis and Mary E. Smith. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1969. She married Richard Hildebrandt on June 19, 1982, at Marysville. They lived in Greenleaf until his death. She worked at the Marysville Hospital as a nurse aide and at Super 8 motel. She was a member of St. Gregory's Church and the altar society. She enjoyed visiting with and attending activities of her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her parents; sisters, Joyce Koch, Marysville, Connie Stallbaumer and Janet Christener, Frankfort; brothers, Richard and Fred Smith, Marysville, Edward Smith, Derby, James Smith, Augusta. She was preceded in death by her husband. Memorials are to be established.
