Description	:	ACCIDENT — Francis Lee Miller , 80, of Accident , died Friday, June 26, 2015, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation, Oakland. His family surrendered him into the arms of his Lord and Savior and he passed peacefully. Born Feb. 13, 1935, in Accident , he was the son of the late Mahlon and Virginia "Virgie" (Warnick) Miller . He was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Elaine (Michael) Miller ; an infant son, Dale Michael; and his oldest sister, Miriam. His family surrendered him into the arms of his Lord and Savior and he passed peacefully. Born Feb. 13, 1935, in Accident , he was the son of the late Mahlon and Virginia "Virgie" (Warnick) Miller . He was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Elaine (Michael) Miller ; an infant son, Dale Michael; and his oldest sister, Miriam. Francis was in the first graduating class of Northern High School in 1953. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed masonry contractor and donated his masonry services to many local churches. He was a member of the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren, Accident , and Gideons International. Francis enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and hunting both in Garrett County and Wyoming. Francis is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Sherry Miller Remley and husband, Michael; their son, Michael Paige and his daughter, Sadie Lynn of Earlysville, Va., Vicki Miller Joshua and her son, Benjamin David of Accident , Roger Miller and wife Raymie, their daughter, Sara Zarea Peiker and husband, Dean, and their daughter, Emmaleigh Ashley and son, Aden William of Millsboro, Del., Laura Miller Michaels and husband, Jesse, and their daughter, Samantha Anne, of Accident . Francis is survived by his two sisters, Marie Miller , of Lonaconing, and Margaret Miller Beitzel, of Grantsville; and one brother, Harry Miller , of Accident . Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville on Monday, June 29, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren, 1088 Brethren Church Road, Accident , on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Staggs officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Gideons International Faith Fund or Hospice of Garrett County. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com
