Rev. A. Jarzemski officiated. Francis Jezewski was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Jezewski Dec. 12, 1874, in Cook County, Ill. At the time of his death he was 62 years, 4 months and 13 days of age. When a small boy he came to Elba, Nebr. with his parents and resided there until 1896. In that year he came to Ashton and for three yeas was employed at the Jamrog and Galczynski hardware store, after which he operated a saloon for six years. Following this and up until a year ago he did paper hanging and painting. For the past year he was in failing health. He was united in marriage to Laura Badura on February 13, 1899 at the St. Francis church in Ashton. He is survived by his wife, one daughter Johanna Jezewski of Omaha; two sons Leon of Sheridan, Wyo., and Peter of Auburn, Nebr.; two brothers, John of Loup City and Peter of Ashton; five sisters, Mrs. Anastasia Alex, Mrs. Catherine Sittmoch, Mrs. Mary Hybner, and Mrs. Barbara Topolski all of Omaha, and Mrs. Josephine Galczynski of Loup City.
