Description	:	Francis Maholn Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mahlon Kemp of Fairmont, was born November 22, 1908, and passed away September 27, 1981. He had been in failing health for several years after suffering a stroke. He graduated from Fairmont high school and from Hastings College. In 1933, he was joined in marriage to Grace Boren of McCool. They farmed near Fairmont for three years after which he entered the shoe business in Casper, Wyo. Read More	Francis Maholn Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Mahlon Kemp of Fairmont, was born November 22, 1908, and passed away September 27, 1981. He had been in failing health for several years after suffering a stroke. He graduated from Fairmont high school and from Hastings College. In 1933, he was joined in marriage to Grace Boren of McCool. They farmed near Fairmont for three years after which he entered the shoe business in Casper, Wyo. In 1941, they moved to Los Angeles, Cal., where he worked in aircraft manufacture, later returning to the shoe business in Colorado Springs, Col., retiring in California. Surviving are two sons, John Mahlon of Malibu, Cal., and James Wesley of Rolling Hills Estates, Cal.; three granddaughters, Debbie, Jodi and Kelsey; two grandsons, Damon and Jason; and one great-grandson, Shane, all of California. His parents, brother, Richard, and sister Marion Karnes, preceded him in death. Graveside services were conducted Sunday, October 4, from the Fairmont Public Cemetery, with the Rev.
