Frank Bougger, a resident of Butler county all of his life, died at his farm home 2 1/2 miles southeast of DAvid City shortly after 8:00 o'clock Monday morning, Oct. 24, after illness of but 20 minutes. Heart trouble was the cause of his death. He was apparently in the best of health and was helping with threshing at his farm the morning of his death. He told the other threshers he was not feeling just right and went to the house and lay down on a couch. Mrs. Bougger called a doctor but before he could reach the Bougger farm Mr. Bougger had passed away. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church, David City, at 9:30 a. m., Wednesday, Oct. 24. Rev. Bernard Sproll conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Father Reddy and Rev. Father Verhelst. Charles Helgoth, Nick Hein, Jr., Nick Medinger, Frank Speicher, Joe Schmidt and Joe Vanek were the pallbearers. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Bougger was born near Bruno September 24, 1872, and at time of his death was aged 55 years and one month. He was married to Katherine Hein in David City April 28, 1903. Mrs. Bougger and seven children, Anna, Caroline, Josephine, Frances, Leo, August and Catherine, survive Mr. Bougger. He also leaves four sisters. Mr. Bougger was highly respected by a large circle of friends on account of his honesty, industry and quiet and unassuming manner. `````````````````````````````` People's Banner (David City, Nebr.), October 27, 1927, p. 1, col. 4 FRANK BOUGGER DEAD Frank Bougger living two and a half miles east of this city passed away very suddenly at his home after an illness of only a few minutes on Monday, October 24th. At the time of his death he had passed the age of 55 years and one month. Mr. Bougger was born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bougger on September 24, 1872, in Skull Creek township. On April 28, 1903, he was united in marriage in the St. Mary's church in David City to Kathryn Hein. They have lived and raised their family on the farm in Butler county. Seven children were born to this union, they are Anna, Caroline, Josephine, Francis, Leo, Augustine and Kathryn. Besides a devoted wife and seven children, deceased leaves four sisters, Mrs. John Medinger of David City, Mrs. Pier Spiecher of Columbus, Mother Stanisulas of York and Mother Cleopha of Dwight. Deceased was a member of the St. Mary's church in David City from which services were held at 9:30 Wednesday morning when Requiem High Mass was said. Pall bearers were six nephews, Frank Medinger, Chas. Helgoth, Joe Chmelka, Frank Speicher, Nick Hein, Sr. and Joe Vanek. Burial took place in the Catholic cemetery in this city.
