Description	:	Franciscka Magdalene Erna Bostelmann, daughter of Edward and Emma Meyer Jungck, was born June 12, 1900 at Palmer, Kan. and died on Aug. 16, 1990, at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior at the age of 90 years. In her youth she moved with her parents to a farmstead south of Chester, the old brick house on U.S. Highway 81. Read More	Franciscka Magdalene Erna Bostelmann, daughter of Edward and Emma Meyer Jungck, was born June 12, 1900 at Palmer, Kan. and died on Aug. 16, 1990, at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior at the age of 90 years. Her elementary education was received at Palmer and St. John's Lutheran School at Chester. She was baptized on June 24, 1900 by Pastor J.B. Keller at Palmer and was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Chester in 1915 by Pastor J.W. Schulze. Erna was united in marriage to Gustav Bostelmann on April 29, 1923 at St. John's and to this union six children were born, Louise, Gladys, Harold, Ardith, Dwayne and Wallace. Erna and Gustave celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1973. Erna worked for numerous families, doing housework and caring for infants. She also served as a telephone operator in Chester and worked at Foote's Cafe and Hilltop Cafe. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of their Ladies Aid. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gustav, in 1974; five brothers, Herman, Albert, Arthur, Lawrence and infant brother Emil; one sister, Lenora Hedval; grandsons, Jerold Meisinger and Darrell Barry; and infant granddaughter, Warneke. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Louise Barry and her husband Fred of Battle Creek, Mrs. Gladys Meisinger and her husband W.E. of Norfolk, Mrs. Ardith Warneke and her husband Melvin of Pierce; her three sons, Harold Bostelmann and his wife Doris of Bucklin, Kan., Dwayne Bostelmann and his wife, Avis of Superior, Wallace Bostelmann and his wife Pat of Monroe, La.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Helen McKenzie and her husband Rick of York, Mrs. Edna Tonjes and her husband Mike of Aurora, Colo.; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Jungck of Omaha, Alice Jungck of Fairbury and Dorothy Schroeder of Blue Grass, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 20, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church of Chester conducted by Pastor David Loeschen. Mrs. Alvin Poppe was organist. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Casket bearers were Orlyn Bostelmann, Dean Warneke, Gregg Bostelmann, David Bostelmann, Donald Meisinger, Robert Bostelmann, Brian Bostelmann, Bruce Bostelmann and Wendell Bostelmann. Honorary casket bearers were John Matasovsky, Michael Ray, Kern Newton, John Sever, Matt Meinel, Robert Pitts, Rolland Bostelmann and Robert Bargen.
