She died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Community Pride Care Center in Battle Creek. 1923-2017 Louise was born Aug. 24, 1923, to Gustav and Erna (Jungck) Bostelmann in Republic County, Kan., near Chester. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chester. She attended St. John’s Parochial School and graduated from Chester High School. On Oct. 21, 1945, Louise married Fred Barry. Louise was employed in Norfolk for many years. They lived and farmed west of Battle Creek until they retired in 1984 and moved into Battle Creek. Louise was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was involved in many church societies. Louise is survived by her daughter, Arllys Bockelman of Pierce; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Meisinger of Norfolk and Ardith Warneke of Pierce; two brothers, Dwayne (Avis) Bostelman of Superior and Wallace (Jackie) Bostelmann of Moscow, Tenn.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Fred on Nov. 23, 1996; a son, Darrell in 1988; a son-in-law, Robert Bockelman in 2012; and a brother, Harold.
