Boje, 71, who had lived in Carroll or vicinity since he was seven years old, died at his home 415 West Eighth street at 1:30 yesterday afternoon. He succumbed to a heart condition after a three-day illness. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence church, with the Rev. Fr. Arthur S. Poeokes offering the requiem mass. Poeckes leading the prayers. Mr. Boje, an employe of the Heider Manufacturing company, and had worked for the firm the past 25 years. Born March 1, 1877, at Frankfort, Illinois, he came to Carroll with his parents, Chris and Louise Boje when he was seven years old. He was married to Mary Ann Stangl January 20, 1903, at SS. Peter and Paul's church, with the late Rev. Fr. Joseph Kuemper officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Boje farmed at different localities in Carroll county for 20 years before moving into town, where Mr. Boje's employment with the Heider Manufacturing company was preceded by a few years work at the Chicago & North Western roundhouse. He belonged to the A.F. of L. Teamster and Warehouse Union. Since 1930, the family home has been at 415 West Eighth street. Besides his wife, Mr. Boje leaves three sons: Eugene, Ankeny; Elmer and Harold, building contractors, Carroll; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William Kurth (Ann), Carroll; and two brothers, Harry Boje, Lidderdale, and Albert Boje, Glidden. His father died in December, 1914, his mother in July 1921, and a brother, Chris, in March, 1924. Mr. Boje was a member of St. Lawrence church and the Holy Name Society of the parish.
