Description	:	Obit: Frank Chamberlain, youngest son of Francis and Mary Ann Smith Chamberlain, was born September 13, 1881 near Lacelle, Iowa and passed away September 10, 1966 at the Midwest Nursing Home, Osceola, Iowa at the age of nearly 85 years following a short illness. He spent most of his life as a farmer in Clarke county, except for 2 years in North Dakota and 2 and 1/2 years at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa where he worked in the West Burlington Railroad Shop. He spent most of his life as a farmer in Clarke county, except for 2 years in North Dakota and 2 and 1/2 years at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa where he worked in the West Burlington Railroad Shop. He retired from farming in 1950 and moved to Osceola. For the past 4 years he had lived at the Guthrie Rest Home. He attended rural Clarke county schools and Union Chapel church. On November 12, 1908 he was married to Ada Belle Lane. To this union two children were born, a daughter who died in infancy and a son, Ivan. On April 10, 1923 he was married to Ida May Wiant. To this union three children were born, a son who died in infancy, Francis of Murray, Iowa and Mrs. Evelyn Todden of Osceola. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his wife Ada in 1918; his son, Ivan in 1929; his wife, Ida in 1961; brothers, John and Marion and sister, Myrtle Hickman. He is survived b his son, Francis and daughter, Evelyn; daughter-in-law, Grace Chamberlain; son-in-law, Alfred Todden; eleven grandchildren: Steven, Jeanne, Robert, John, Mark, Jimmie and Rebecca Chamberlain, Danny, Patti, Susan and Marianne Todden, five nieces and one nephew and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held September 12 at Webster Funeral Home. Rev. John McCallum officiated. Organist was Mrs. AMy Ruth Harlan, soloist was John Asmus who sang "Sweet By and By" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Bearers were Clifford Jones, Ray Heston, Basil Page, Charles Marvin, Jr., Dale Chew and Kenneth Van Winkel. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Osceola Sentinel Tribune
