Launer, 62, lifelong resident of Fremont died Monday in an Omaha hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Fred Bader funeral home. Rev. Roy C. Leeds of the First Christian church, will officiate and burial will be in Ridge cemetery. Mr. Launer, the son of Jacob and Minnie Launer was born Oct. 29, 1882 in Fremont. He had been employed by the Marr Bottling Works and later by the Railway Express company. Mr. Launer was a member of the Fremont fire department. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Edwin Launer of Ogallala, and Mrs. Mrs. B. H. Taylor of Omaha, Jake Launer, Mrs. A. P. Madsen and Mrs. William Weidner, all of Fremont. His parents, two sisters and a brother, preceded him in death. ____ June 1, 1945, p. 8, col. 2 Frank Launer Rites Held Here Thursday Funeral services for Frank Launer, who died May 28 in Fremont, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Fred Bader funeral home. Rev. Roy C. Leeds of the First Christian church officiated. Burial was in Ridge cemetery. Miss Jo Ann Leeds sang “In the Garden,” and “Abide with Me,” accompanied by Mrs. Don Lilly. Pallbearers were Leo Garfield, Sam Woolhether, Henry Peters, James Hansen, Hans Schipman and William Giesleman.
