Mr. Chrudimsky died last Tuesday morning at Salem, Oregon where he had been in business for the past year. Death, coming at the age of 73, was attributed to a heart attack. Speakers at the service were T. B. Hlubucek of Cedar Rapids and Vince Kuzela of Clutier for the Z.C.B.J. lodge in which the decedent held membership for almost forty years. Music was furnished by Mrs. T. B. Hlubucek and Mrs. Esther Herink , of Cedar Rapids. Pallbearers were John Cecak, Frank Hlavacek, Frank T. Dvorak, John Mareda, Frank Drinovsky, and L. V. Kuchynka. Five of the pallbearers also served during the funeral of Mrs. Chrudimsky lasty year. Burial was in National cemetery near Vining. Frank Chrudimsky Sr. was born March 29, 1868 in Chrudimskeho, Kraje-Stepanov, Czecho-Slovakia. He was married there in 1896 to Marie Absolon. Mr. Chrudimsky came to the United States in 1898 and his wife followed two years later. They lived in Cedar Rapids for months and then moved to Traer. Mr. Chrudimsky operated a monument works here for twelve years stone cutting being the trade he had learned in the old country. The family moved to the farm in 1913 and operated several farms in the Traer – Clutier vicinity. Mr. Chrudimsky remained with his sons, Bohush and Frank Jr. until the death of his wife in May of last year. A short tine later he traveled in the western states and then engaged in business at Salem. Mr. Chrudimsky was a charter member of the Z.C.B.J. order in Traer, later with his wife transferring to the Clutier lodge. He was always an active and faithful member, and on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Clutier lodge he painted and donated a fine picture which now hangs in lodge rooms. Surviving are four sons, Bohush, Frank Jr. Lester and William, all of Clutier; and one daughter, Mrs. William G. Cizek, near Belle Plaine. Relatives attending the funeral from a distance include Mr. and Mrs. James Plesek, Mr. and Mrs. John Cimburek, Mrs. Louis Hruska Sr., Mrs. Jerry Hruska and son William of Cedar Rapids; Emil Jelinek of Ely, Iowa.
