Frank Eugene Bacon, 86, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016, at Diversicare of Council Grove. He was born July 16, 1930, in rural Morris County, KS, the son of Frank Amos and Luella (Baker) Bacon. Frank Eugene Bacon, 86, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016, at Diversicare of Council Grove. He was born July 16, 1930, in rural Morris County, KS, the son of Frank Amos and Luella (Baker) Bacon. He graduated from Dunlap High School and later joined the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Frank was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Frank is survived by his son Ron (Betty) Bacon of Council Grove and daughters Betty (Alan) Richardson of Emporia, Lois (LeRoy) Robertson of Osage City and Ramona (Steve) Langley of Wichita. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Surviving siblings are Boyd (Ruth) Bacon of Dunlap, Caroline Rogers of Lebo and Guy (Janece) Bacon of Olpe. He was preceded in death by his son Rod Bacon, grandson Josh Bacon, his parents and siblings Ruth Johnson, Mary Bechtel and Lois West. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Accord Hospice. They may be sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, PO Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846.
