Girmus and Anna Matejka Girmus on January 29, 1911, at Chugwater, Wy., and passed away March 20, 1988, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 20 days. Girmus and Anna Matejka Girmus on January 29, 1911, at Chugwater, Wy., and passed away March 20, 1988, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 20 days. He was one of 12 children. Frank’s family lived in the Geneva area where Frank attended rural school. He enjoyed farming, cattle, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He took pride in his yard and home. His earlier years were spent playing baseball. On January 14, 1951, he married Bernice Odvody and together they enjoyed weekend guests who came to fish and hunt. He was a loving, kind and thoughtful husband, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. Frank was preceded in death by brothers, Edward of Sutton, William of Tobias and Jim of Friend. He is survived by his wife, Bernice, of Geneva; brothers, Emil and John of Geneva, Joe of Wilber, Rudy of Ohiowa and Raymond and Adolph of Lincoln; sisters, Mildred Odvody and Helen Koehn of Geneva; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services were performed by Alfred Nussrallah, traveling minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses from Nebraska Circuit #3. His theme was taken from the Bible, the Book of Job “If a man dies, can he live again? (Job 14:14) Funeral services were conducted from Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva on Wednesday, March 23. Pallbearers were Larry Barett, Roger Gibson, Bobby Girmus, Dale Girmus, Norman Girmus, Richard A. Girmus, Donald Kimbrough and Joe Monteforte. Interment was in the Geneva Public Cemetery.
