Description	:	KOEHN, HELEN—Helen (Girmus) Koehn was born to James and Anna (Matejka) Girmus on December 31, 1925. She was one of a family of ten boys and two girls. She passed at Geneva on November 5, 2007, at the age of 81. She attended school at Geneva High School. She was baptized in the Lutheran Synod near Grafton. Helen worked at several restaurants, the... Read More	KOEHN, HELEN—Helen (Girmus) Koehn was born to James and Anna (Matejka) Girmus on December 31, 1925. She was one of a family of ten boys and two girls. She passed at Geneva on November 5, 2007, at the age of 81. She attended school at Geneva High School. She was baptized in the Lutheran Synod near Grafton. She married Hubert Herman Koehn January 10, 1943, at the Lutheran church near Grafton. They were blessed with six children, James, Bonnie, Judy, twins, Sharon and Karen and Hubert Leon. Helen worked at several restaurants, the school cafeteria at Grafton and several years at Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva in the dietary department. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and playing cards and yard work. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; son, James (in infancy); son-in-law, Ronald Heath, and brothers, Edward Frank, Bill, Jim, Emil, Joe John and Rudy; sister, Mildred and a great-grandson, Seth. She is survived by brothers, Raymond and his wife, Donna; and Adolph and his wife, Annette; daughters, Bonnie Heath and Judy Gibson; Sharon Bossen and her husband, Dennis, Karen Schall and her husband, Walter, and son, Hubert Leon and his wife Ardis; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the United Methodist Church in Geneva on November 8, with the Rev. Ron Harris officiating. Prelude music was recorded and provided by David Koehn. Recorded musical selections for the service were “Goin Home,” “Nearer My God to Thee” and “On Eagle’s Wings”. Casket bearers were Ryan and Justin Gibson, Clayton, Brad and Brian Heath, Richard and David Girmus, Jamie Dvorak, David and Adam Koehn, Scott and Mike Bossen, Allen McPhaull and Mony Aklhoury.
