Description	:	Frank was born to the union of Frank J. and Maggie E. (Cross) Franksain on July 19, 1923 in Garfield Township. He grew up with his parents in the Webb area. He attended school in both Albert City and Webb country schools. Frank served his country honorably in the US Army overseas. He entered die service on Jan. 11, 1946 and was honorably discharged Aug. 22, 1947, receiving the rank of T/5 Surgical Technician. After the service he was active American Legion Post #12 and was past Commander and Adjutant in the Color Guard. Frank was united in marriage to Arlene M. Carlson on June 5, 1949 in Marathon. Frank was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Marathon where he served on the Church Council. He was confirmed the church in 1950. Frank worked as a farmer in Webb, Wycoff Minn, and Collins, Iowa, before working at the Farmers Coop in Marathon and Albert City. In his later years he was self-employed as carpenter. His hobby was woodworking. He'd make doll houses, toy barns and small household items for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and one brother.
