Description	:	Frank Hand was born near Bethany, Missouri to John A. Hand and Elizabeth Lovelace Hand, September 11, 1885. When he was very young, the family moved to the Hazard, Nebraska community, where he spent most of this boyhood days. They lived in Missouri and Oklahoma for short periods and while residing in Oklahoma, he me and married Alma Mabel, Sherman on November 14, 1906 at Woodward, Oklahoma. Read More	Frank Hand was born near Bethany, Missouri to John A. Hand and Elizabeth Lovelace Hand, September 11, 1885. When he was very young, the family moved to the Hazard, Nebraska community, where he spent most of this boyhood days. They lived in Missouri and Oklahoma for short periods and while residing in Oklahoma, he me and married Alma Mabel, Sherman on November 14, 1906 at Woodward, Oklahoma. To this union four sons were born. During the time the children were growing up, the family spent their lives on farms in Hazard, Mason City, and the Pleasanton area. "To know him, was to love him," is a phrase that describes Frank very well. He was a very kind, humble man. Quiet and unassuming in nature, but always had a willing and sympathetic ear and helping hand for anyone in trouble. His family was always of greatest importance to him and he was fortunate to always have some of his loved ones close by. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel on April 23, 1950. Also by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren. Before his death, they moved to Pleasanton, where he remained until ill health made it adviseabel for him to give up his home and move into the Good Samaritan Home in Ravenna, Later he moved to the Mount Carmel Home in Kearney, where he remained until his death on January 17, 1972. He is survived by four sons, Raymond of Pleasanton, Victor of Bellevue, Russell of Kearney, and Beryle of New Bedford, Mass.; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Wagner of Omaha, Nebr. and Mrs. Carrie Olson of York, Nebr; also a host of relatives.
