Description	:	Frank Hoffmans Dead Frank Hoffmans, of Burlington, died Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in St. Mary's Hospital, following an operation. His body was taken yesterday to Burlington, where funeral services will be held Friday morning in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery at Burlington. Mr. Hoffmans is survived by eight children, one of whom is Mrs. A. H. Gufler, of Emporia. Two daughters are nuns, Sisters of St. Benedict, of Atchison. Mr. Hoffmans had been engaged in the mercantile business in Burlington since 1872. He was prominent in the Coffey County civic and business affairs, and was president of the F. Hoffmans Mercantile Company. He was married in Brown County, Ill., in 1873, to Miss A. M. Weigand. They have five children: Francis, Mamie, Lottie, Cornelius and Emma. Mr. Hoffmans is a member of the Catholic Church. He established business in Burlington in 1872 in connection with the firm of Sanders & Hoffmans and has been engaged in business in Burlington since. Frank Hoffmans of Burlington, who had been in the mercantile business in Coffey County since 1872, is dead in a hospital in Emporia. [The Cheney Sentinel (Cheney, Kansas), June 10, 1920]
