Description	:	From the ‘History of Buchanan County, Iowa' plus added information from my research. FRANK RUST was born in Domeck parish, Solothurn Switzerland 1 February 1836. He came to America with his father's family at the age of eight. At the age of fourteen he went to Wisconsin. At the age of sixteen he came to Iowa with his father who bought the farm where Mr. Frank Rust now lives, and which he now owns. Read More	From the ‘History of Buchanan County, Iowa' plus added information from my research. FRANK RUST was born in Domeck parish, Solothurn Switzerland 1 February 1836. He came to America with his father's family at the age of eight. At the age of fourteen he went to Wisconsin. At the age of sixteen he came to Iowa with his father who bought the farm where Mr. Frank Rust now lives, and which he now owns. In the year 1863 Mr. Rust enlisted in the Fourth Calvary Iowa Company B; served his country well tell the end of the war, when he married in on 24th October 1855 Miss Alvina Heath, of Black Hawk County, Iowa. They have ten children living; Emma, (married Edwin J. Trumbauer), and is now living in Kansas; Jane L. (married Edwin's brother Peter Trumbauer) Martha L., age twenty, Mary (Marietta married Ira Farwell)age seventeen; Anna M. (married John McArdle) age fourteen; Dora B. age twelve; Franklin J., age ten; William H. age five, Eva C.,age three; Edison Garfield, aged six months. All the unmarried children make their father's house their home, and constitute a very happy home. Mr. Rust has a good home and a farm of seventy-three acres. He came her when this country was one bleak, unbroken prairie, but he has stuck to his text till he now has neighbors and friends on every hand. Mr. Rust is one on Iowa's Republican Sons of Liberty.
