Description	:	Frank Haan, 82, died Saturday afternoon, August 27, 2011 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Frank Milton Haan was born on November 28, 1928 on a farm south of Chancellor, South Dakota, the son of Alfred and Florence (DeNeui) Haan. He grew up northeast of Chancellor attending rural and Chancellor public schools. He served in the US Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. Frank Milton Haan was born on November 28, 1928 on a farm south of Chancellor, South Dakota, the son of Alfred and Florence (DeNeui) Haan. He grew up northeast of Chancellor attending rural and Chancellor public schools. He served in the US Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge. On August 18, 1953 he married his sweetie, the love of his life, Jennie Stratmeyer at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Lennox. The couple farmed one mile east of Chancellor their entire married life. Frank was an active member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and Trustee. He had accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He belonged to the Bertus-Jurgens American Legion Post in Chancellor. Frank was preceded in death by his mother on October 23 1973; his father on March 18, 1994; four brothers: David in infancy, Wayne in 1999, Daniel in 2005 and James in 2009. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Jennie; six children: Ronald (Mary) Haan, Sioux Falls, Alvin (Carla) Haan, Chancellor, Joanne Poppens, Tea, Janet (Dale) Becker, Bridgewater, Fern Haan, Chancellor and Darwin (Sue) Haan, Chancellor; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings: Rose Haan, Lennox, Donald Haan, Lennox, his twin, Fred (Clarice) Haan, Chancellor and Dick (Karen) Haan, Minneapolis; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
