Description	:	Frank Nordman, age 93, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at his residence. Frank was born June 25, 1921 on the farm near Lennox, South Dakota, to Harm and Patty (Bruns) Nordman. He grew up on the farm and attended Crowley School east of Lennox. He entered the United States Army during World War II and served in the South Pacific Theatre until his honorable discharge in 1945. Read More	Frank Nordman, age 93, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at his residence. Frank was born June 25, 1921 on the farm near Lennox, South Dakota, to Harm and Patty (Bruns) Nordman. He grew up on the farm and attended Crowley School east of Lennox. He entered the United States Army during World War II and served in the South Pacific Theatre until his honorable discharge in 1945. After returning from the war, Frank worked on the farm for a few years. He also worked for Gage Brothers Concrete Company in Sioux Falls for many years. He married Joyce Kohl on February 14, 1968, in Yankton, South Dakota. Together they operated Country Acres Trailer Court in rural Yankton for 17 years until they retired and moved back to Yankton. Frank was a lifetime member of the VFW in Yankton, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Yankton, and a member of The Senior Center in Yankton. He was a very hard working man, who was always willing to help. He loved working in his garden, watching the wildlife outside his window, picking apples, but he especially loved his family and his church family. Survivors include his three step children: Janice Reischl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Neil (Sandra) Kohl of Dickson, Tennessee; and Lynn (Lorraine) Kohl of Sioux City, Iowa; two sisters: Marie (Marvin) Bultena and Katie Javers of Lennox, South Dakota; brother, Dick Nordman of Lennox, South Dakota; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce on January 29, 2007; four brothers: Harm, Ralph, William, and Peter; and three sisters: Jenny, Emma, and Kattie.
