Read More	Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), May 2, 1946, p. 1, col. 3 DIED ON GOOD FRIDAY FRANK POLACEK PASSED ON He Had Lived Here His Entire Life Bruno, April 26 – Frank Polacek, 93, highly respected member of this community during his entire life, died at his home in Bruno at 8:30 o'clock on Good Friday morning. Though in a gradual decline sometime, he kept to his usual daily pursuits until two weeks ago when he suffered an apoplectic stroke. Funeral services were held April 22 at 9:30 a.m., from the home, with Rev. Father Rada offering the Requiem High Mass at St. Anthony's church at 10 o'clock. Interment was in St. Anthony's cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Pesek, Fred Janak, John Kouma, Jacob Palensky, Joseph Capoun and John Cidlik. The funeral was very largely attended, many coming from a distance to pay their last respects to an esteemed relative and friend. Frank Polacek, son of Vaclav and Frances (Prasek) Polacek, was born near Abie, August 18, 1872. His marriage to Miss Frances Sajtl was solemnized at SS Cyril Methodist [Methodius] church, Plasi in March 1899. To them were born five children: two sons, Anton of Brainard and Adolph of Bruno; three daughters, Mrs. Hattie Rech of David City; Mrs. Ludmila Polivka of Brainard; Mrs. Rose Krenk of Abie. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Dolezal of Bruno; Mrs. Barbara Kouma of Dwight and Mrs. Mary Palensky of North Dakota; one brother, Anton V. of Bruno; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Polacek always lived on the same farm south of Bruno, now occupied by their son, Adolph and family. Until retiring from farm-life, 11 years ago and moving to the home they purchased in Bruno. Mr. Polacek was a devout Catholic who practiced his religion, a man of integrity whose word was as good as his bond, a capable and industrious farmer, a true and honorable friend.
