Description	:	Frank S. Cole, son of Charles J. and Rebecca Cole, was born in Lake City, Iowa, Jan. 24, 1886. He grew to manhood here in Lake City and attended high school, and was a favorite among the boys at school as he took an active part in all athletics. On June 21, 1913, he was united in marriage to Josie Holm. To this union was born one daughter, Vera May, who is almost four years of age. Cole, son of Charles J. and Rebecca Cole, was born in Lake City, Iowa, Jan. 24, 1886. He grew to manhood here in Lake City and attended high school, and was a favorite among the boys at school as he took an active part in all athletics. On June 21, 1913, he was united in marriage to Josie Holm. To this union was born one daughter, Vera May, who is almost four years of age. For about five years he was employed as a lineman for the Western Union when he came into contact with a live wire and was severely burned. That seemed to be the beginning of his ill health, and from that time on, he had spells of sickness, and for the last three years he grew worse until finally he was taken to the hospital at Cherokee where he died June 10, 1929. He leave to mourn his departure, his wife and daughter, his aged mother, five brothers and three sisters: J. L. Cole of St. Paul, Minn., O. H. Cole of California, Geo B. Cole of Clarion, E.D. and J. P. of Lake City, Mrs. Martha Rondfelt and Mrs. Mary Dunn of Lake City and Mrs. Carrie Higgins of Ida Grove. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the Church of Christ, conducted by the Rev. A. B. Kern. Burial was in Lake City Cemetery.
