Description	:	REBECCA J. COLE Rebecca J. Parker, the eldest daughter of David and Elizabeth Parker, was born in Logan county, Ohio, June 12, 1845. In September, 1846, her parents moved to Cass county, Mich. where she grew to womanhood. In the spring of 1864 she came with her parents to Lake City, Iowa, which place has since been her home. She was married January, 1865, to C.J. Cole. She was the mother of twelve children - six daughters and six sons. She was baptized when fifteen years of age and has been a member of the Church... Read More	REBECCA J. COLE Rebecca J. Parker, the eldest daughter of David and Elizabeth Parker, was born in Logan county, Ohio, June 12, 1845. In September, 1846, her parents moved to Cass county, Mich. where she grew to womanhood. In the spring of 1864 she came with her parents to Lake City, Iowa, which place has since been her home. She was married January, 1865, to C.J. Cole. She was the mother of twelve children - six daughters and six sons. She was baptized when fifteen years of age and has been a member of the Church of Christ ever since. Her husband, three daughter - Sarah, Hazel and Margaret, and one son, Frank, preceded Mrs. Cole to the Great Beyond. The children who remain to remember their mother's passing are: Martha B. Ronfeldt, Emory D., John P., and Mary E. Dunn, of Lake City; James L., of St. Paul, Minn.; Otis H. of Ocean Park, Calif. and George B. of Clarion. There are also four brothers and sisters: D.H. Parker and Mrs. L.A. Hotchkiss of Lake City; Mrs. Hannah E. Shepherd of Mack's Creek, Mo., and L.T. Parker of San Marino, Calif. Thirty grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Cole's great faith in the Saviour sustained her in her last long illness. She has been a faithful worker in the church and a help to those who knew her best. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ronfeldt, Lake City, Iowa, November 16, 1932, at the age of 87 years, five months and four days. Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Roy B. Weakland, her pastor, officiating.
