Rev. J.G. Skahill officiated, assisted by Rev. Charles Ernst, of Odebolt. Pallbearers were Carl Weidenfeller, Robert Voss, John Henrich, Leonard Lamoureux, Edmund Heider and Leo Henrich. Burial was in the church cemetery. Frank Thomas was born at Dusseldorf, Germany, January 29, 1874. He came to live in Le Mars in 1883, and moved on a farm near Akron in 1890. On July 12, 1904, he married Helen Schafer, of Le Mars, and they have resided near Akron ever since. Surviving are the widow; sons, Lambert and AI of Akron, Carl, of Sioux City, Raymond, of Philadelphia, Pa.; and daughters, Cordelia DeRocher, of Le Mars, and Mrs. Regina Popken, of Hawarden, and eleven grandchildren. One son, Leo, preceded him in death. Attending the funeral from a distance were; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thomas and daughters, Ellen, Joan and Karen of Philadelphia, Pa.; Richard Thomas, U.S.N., of San Diego, California, Mr. Henry Thomas, of Minnesota Lake, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thomas of Albert Lea, Minnesota.
