Frank Taylor was born in Mercer county, Illinois, Nov. 26, 1868. His sickness of three week's duration of inflamation of the bowels, was accompanied by severe physical distress. He endured this strain with christian fortitude, but was finally called to leave family and friends for fairer realms above, where the former things are passed away.... Frank Taylor was born in Mercer county, Illinois, Nov. 26, 1868. His sickness of three week's duration of inflamation of the bowels, was accompanied by severe physical distress. He endured this strain with christian fortitude, but was finally called to leave family and friends for fairer realms above, where the former things are passed away. The family is comforted by the sweet memories of their dear one's victory in death. He was a dutiful son, a kind brother and a faithful friend. His place in the church, the Sunday School and the Christian Endeavor must by filled by others. May help from the Great Father be ministered to the sorrowing circle. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence on Saturday, June 22, by Rev. W. R. Adams, assisted by Judge Montgonmery, of York. Friends from far and near attended these services, thus attesting their esteem for the dead. The interment was made in a grove on the Taylor farm, beside two younger brothers laid to rest in years gone by. This place was chosen at Frank's request. "Sleep, brother, sleep; thy waking will be glorious." Frank was buried on the farm and then later reburied in Greenwood Cemetery, York, York, Nebraska on Sept 13, 1928.
