In that account, the date of their marriage is November 25, 1882). THE GRAVE MARKER: The grave marker at the Blooming Rose Cemetery is engraved with both Franklin and Hattie Casteel's names. However, Franklin is buried in an unmarked grave in the Andrew Coleman Friend Cemetery down the road from Blooming Rose. Franklin's granddaughter Mary Mae Lawson Williams gave the following account in her 1988 compilation of remembrances entitled Hattie's Book: "Grandfather Casteel died of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was buried in the Andrew Colman Friend cemetery where many of Hattie's relatives were buried. Finances did not permit any permanent marker at that time. The Andrew Coleman Friend cemetery was a respectable farm cemetery when my grandfather was buried there but when my grandmother Hattie died in 1951, the graveyard had been abandoned and she was buried at the Blooming Rose Cemetery where her son Lloyd also lays. Franklin and Hattie's daughter Hollie Rose had the grave marker at Blooming Rose Cemetery engraved with both Hattie's and Franklin's names, but his remains were never moved there." (NOTE: This account is from a copy of "Hattie's Book" that Mary Mae Lawson Williams gave to Susan Edna (Whorton) Friend, the wife of Hattie's nephew Ralph Taft Friend of Sang Run. Ralph Taft Friend was the son of Hattie's sister, Adelia Alice (Friend) Friend.)
