Funeral services were held from the Strahan M. E. Church Sunday at 2 o'clock with Rev. C. J. Soelberg, pastor of Hastings M. E. Church in charge. Burial was made in the Emerson Cemetery Franklin Frederick "Frank" Clites was born in Whiteside County, Illinois June 19, 1865 and passed away at his home 3 miles southeast of Strahan October 9, 1926 at the age of 61 years, 3 months, and 20 days. He married Emma Miriah Mallory in Madison County, Nebraska December 23, 1891. To this union was born six children Ethel, Pearl, Frank, Alfred, Lillian, and Dallas. Besides his loving wife he leaves to mourn his children, Mrs. Carl Paulson, now at home, Mrs. Glen Niday, Mrs. Clare Darland, both of near Strahan, Frank living in Strahan, Alfred living near Hastings, and Dallas at home, a sister, Mrs. Douglas Anstine of Tamora, Nebraska, two brothers, Bert and James R., both of Emerson, eleven grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. He was a kind husband and father and very devoted to his home and a great lover of his grandchildren. He was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church and also of the M.W.A. Lodge. He had been very poorly since May and everything was done that could be done, but with no avail and he passed from his suffering to eternal rest.
